Chico, Sherry’s Longhorn ‘pet’ and our Covered-L symbol.
Born in Louisiana in 1991, raised in Texas and Missouri. A cherished part of Covered- L Farm since 1992. He served as our lead steer for two decades. He knew when it was time to move to a new paddock of fresh grass so all I had to do was open the hot wire, point the direction and get out of his way. He did the rest, leading the whole herd into the new digs.
Before age caught up with him, his horn span grew to 5′ 11 1/2″. Rest in peace, Ol’ Boy.
